The public comment period for all Sections of Version 2 of the National Code of Practice for Light Vehicle Construction and Modification (VSB 14) closed in April 2010.

The Australian Motor Vehicle Certification Board Working Party agreed late in 2010 to have Version 2 published in January 2011.

Version 2 of VSB 14 is now available for free download in PDF format on the Department of Infrastructure and Transport website at www.infrastructure.gov.au

Although the initial public comment period officially ended on 30 April 2009, comments were accepted as late as 12 June 2009.  The initial public comment period for the Electric Drive Guidelines closed on 26 September 2009.

Further comments were sought until mid-April 2010 from specialists to resolve a number of outstanding issues.
